A gripping drama about past and present, love and life after life…
After their parents die tragically in a car accident, siblings Oskar and Linda become separated. They are reunited in Tokyo – a busy and dangerous city for two youngsters on their own. Oskar is a drug dealer and Linda works in a strip club. They take an oath never to leave each other, regardless of circumstances. Then one night, Oskar is shot during a police raid, but his oath has bound him to the land of the living. As his soul wanders through Tokyo by night, the boundaries of reality begin to fade away. Present swirls together with past and future in a visually breathtaking and frightening cocktail. The captivating film from the world of Tokyo night clubs tells of life, death and love. In it, director Gaspar Noé pushes the boundaries of film as a medium, offering viewers a remarkably powerful experience.
