The world is mine
The woes of growing up in a small town where money and appearances are all that counts.
Larisa is sixteen, she lives in a small town by the sea and life has not been kind to her. There are conflicts with her mother, the ever-present scarcity of money, an ailing grandmother for whom Larisa must care, and Anna, her rival in love, who does all she can to get rid of her. But Larisa, knowing far too well that power and money make the world go round, refuses to be shouldered aside on her path to a better life. With remarkable authenticity, Nicolae Constantina Tanase’s surprising film captures adolescence in all its bareness. It received an award for best debut at IFF Transilvania.
