A biographical drama dealing with the turbulent end of a controversial Italian filmmaker.
The year is 1975. Fifty year old Pier Paolo Pasolini has just completed his final film, Saló, or the 120 Days of Sodom, and is going through the most tempestuous period of his already eventful career. He is opposed by the public, film critics and political elites alike. And not only for his shockingly open work, readily apparent homosexuality or numerous personal excesses, but also for his political activism. Despite opposition from his loved ones, Pasolini prepares to begin work on a new film, one he will never complete.
