Amélie Poulain, Japanese style.
Born in Japan, a young Belgian girl, Amélie, has always yearned for the country of her birth, though she only lived there until she was five. Now, years later, she is returning to settle down and desires o become absorbed in Japanese culture. Hoping to support herself by giving private French lessons, she ends up with just one student, the handsome Rinri; it is after this meeting that she begins to fully discover Japanese culture. The romantic comedy about two lovers from opposite ends of the world is an adaptation of the autobiographical novel, Tokyo Fiancée, which lightly, humorously retells that oldest of tales: boy meets girl.
